VICTORIA SENDRA
Victoria Sendra is a filmmaker (producer, director, cinematographer and editor) whose work is inspired by the outdoors, and often explores the way an active camera captures the subject on the two-dimensional plane that is film. She has made videos for The Anderson and Roe Piano Duo (2016), Johanna Warren (2016), Bitforms Gallery (2015), Steinway & Sons (2014-15), SoulCycle (2013-14), and Pentacle (2013-14), and is in the process of creating several music videos. Her work has been presented at Anthology Film Archives (2014), Jacob Burns Film Center (2014), Lincoln Center (2013), The Getty Museum (2013), Village East Cinema (2013), The University of Michigan (2013), Spectacle Theater (2013), Dances Made to Order (2013), Scotiabank Dance Center (2013), Hitt Húsið (2013), thejamjar (2013) and REDCAT (2012). Sendra has worked as the videographer for Robert Ashley’s Vidas Perfects at the Whitney Museum(2014), Movement Research at the Judson Church (2014), Faye Driscoll Group at Danspace Project (2014), Catherine Galasso’s Fall of the Rebel Angels at Center for Performance Research (2013), Arturo Vidich’s 142241 at Abrons Art Center (2013), and hosted a workshop and screening of her work for Pentacle's Movement Media (2014). She has worked as an artist in residence at Space on Ryder Farm (2013) and The Watermill Center (2013), and graduated from the California Institute of the Arts (2012) with a BFA in Film/Video and a minor in Creative Writing.
